What is your favorite animated movie or cartoon?

My favorite animated movie is The Incredibles.

What is your favorite children's book?

The Little Mouse, the Red Ripe Strawberry, and the Big Hungry Bear is my favorite children's book--my parents would read it to me almost every night growing up.

What was your favorite childhood toy?

Tie between Hit Clips and the robot dog Poo-Chi.

Who is your greatest inspiration?

My parents are my greatest inspiration, as they instilled in me the values of empathy and kindness.

What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?

Supporting Houston's sports teams, puzzles/word games, and exploring new restaurants.

What inspired you to work in pediatrics?

I find it incredibly rewarding to have a hand in supporting a child's health from their earliest days through adolescence and early adulthood. I love building lasting relationships with families, working together to guide their children through some of the most important years of their development. Research on Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) has demonstrated that early life events can have lasting effects on health throughout the lifespan. I value a career in pediatrics in that it offers a meaningful opportunity to intervene early, promote resilience, and support the long-term well-being of my patients.

What unique qualities, skills, or services set you apart, and how do you build a positive rapport with patients and their families?

My approach to care is built on a foundation of empathy, open communication, and a deep commitment to delivering the best outcomes for each patient I serve. I prioritize understanding each patient as an individual, not just a medical case. This means I take the time to listen to your concerns, understand your lifestyle, and tailor treatment plans specifically to your needs. I believe in clear, honest, and compassionate communication. I will explain your diagnosis in detail, answer any questions you have, and ensure you fully understand your treatment options. My goal is to empower you to make informed decisions about your care, so you always feel confident and involved in the process.

How do you accommodate patients with special needs?

For patients with complex needs, I work closely with their caregivers and any specialists involved in their care. I value the input of family members, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare providers to ensure a coordinated approach that addresses all aspects of the patient’s health. This collaborative effort ensures that the patient receives comprehensive, holistic care.
