What is your favorite animated movie or cartoon?
My favorite animated movie is Madagascar.
What is your favorite children's book?
My favorite children’s book is Officer Buckle and Gloria because my children loved it.
What was your favorite childhood toy?
My favorite childhood toys were Barbies.
Who is your greatest inspiration?
My children, Kate and Sam, were adopted from an orphanage in Kemerovo, Russia when they were 2 years old. We faced many challenges as we adjusted to our new family. They are now 23 years old.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
My hobbies and interests include gardening, bird watching, and reading.
What inspired you to work in pediatrics?
I new I wanted to work in pediatrics since I started in nursing school and my goal was always to become a pediatric nurse practitioner.
What unique qualities, skills, or services set you apart, and how do you build a positive rapport with patients and their families?
Building trust and effective communication is a key ingredient in Value-based healthcare. I feel my background in pediatric critical care and cardiology is a bonus to caring for children and their families that have gone through those medical experiences.
How do you accommodate patients with special needs?
Assist with ongoing therapy coordination including special ed, IEP, medical needs in school. Recognize that family has routine plan of care and incorporate this into medical decision making with parent
