Q&A with Dr. Naz
What is your favorite animated movie or cartoon?
My favorite animated movies and shows are Shrek and Tom and Jerry.
What is your favorite children's book?
My favorite childhood book was Charlotte's Web because I loved the friendship between Wilbur and Charlotte and how they cared for each other. The story taught me about kindness, loyalty, and the power of words.
What was your favorite childhood toy?
My favorite childhood toy was a teddy bear.
Who is your greatest inspiration?
My greatest inspiration is my mom because she always stayed strong through tough times and never gave up on her dreams. She taught me the value of hard work, kindness, and believing in myself.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy watching movies and traveling to new places. I love exploring different cultures, trying new foods, and getting inspired by the stories and scenery I experience along the way.
What inspired you to work in pediatrics?
I’ve always loved how curious and strong kids are, and I wanted to be part of helping them grow up healthy and happy. Seeing how much a little care can change a child’s life is what drew me to pediatrics and keeps me inspired every day.
What unique qualities, skills, or services set you apart, and how do you build a positive rapport with patients and their families?
I’m gentle and welcoming, so children and parents feel at ease right away. I listen closely and explain things in simple words, helping families feel cared for and included in every step of their child’s care.
How do you accommodate patients with special needs?
I take things slowly and make the visit as relaxed as possible, so the child feels safe and comfortable. I listen to parents and caregivers, follow their cues, and adjust everything—from how I talk to how I examine—to fit each child’s needs.
