What is your favorite children's book?
The Real Mother Goose. When I was young my mom would read it to us on Saturday mornings.
What was your favorite childhood toy?
My favorite childhood toys were my Barbie’s. I would love to dress them up.
Who is your greatest inspiration?
My greatest inspiration is my mom! She is the reason I am who I am today! She never let me give up on myself. She is no longer with me but I honor her memory by being the best version of myself.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
Outside of work I enjoy reading books. I run on weekends with friends and do CrossFit. I also enjoy cooking various recipes from Pinterest.
What inspired you to work in pediatrics?
When I was in nursing school I loved my pediatrics rotation. I am a big kid at heart so I truly enjoy the little ones.
What unique qualities, skills, or services set you apart, and how do you build a positive rapport with patients and their families?
I am great listener and try and identify with everyone. I see my patients as a family and not just the one individual. It is about taking care of the family as a whole. My best approach is to speak first to the family, listen to their concerns and allow questions before exam. I feel that this makes my patients more comfortable and allows them to get to know me better.
