What is your favorite animated movie or cartoon?
My favorite animated movies are Coco and Tangled.
What is your favorite children's book?
If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, because it is a fun read and I loved reading it to my nieces and son.
What was your favorite childhood toy?
I loved playing with beanie babies and making up background stories for them.
Who is your greatest inspiration?
My mom, because she manages to always see the positive in things and radiates love and joy.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
I love to spend time with my family, we go to the park, splash pads, and on walks. I also love to cook/bake, read and travel!
What inspired you to work in pediatrics?
I love being part of a child's health and development. Education and keeping kids healthy and fulfilling their full potential is important to me. I also love how funny and honest kids are! It is never a dull moment!
What unique qualities, skills, or services set you apart, and how do you build a positive rapport with patients and their families?
I am a self-proclaimed toenail queen, I am able to do some of the toughest toenail removals with minimal pain! I also am a great listener and big proponent of letting kids answer questions for themselves! I feel that I am good at making families feel comfortable so that they are able to share even the hardest things.
How do you accommodate patients with special needs?
Examine them in wheelchairs/modify exam as needed.
