Who is your greatest inspiration?
My grandma inspired me to go into medicine by teaching me to truly care for others at a young age.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
I love to plan vacations and travel with my family
What inspired you to work in pediatrics?
I love the innocence of children, and I enjoy helping parents navigate the challenges of raising children.
What unique qualities, skills, or services set you apart, and how do you build a positive rapport with patients and their families?
Having raised three children myself, I’ve developed the ability to connect with kids of all ages. I know what it’s like to have a sick baby, and I know what it’s like to have a teen navigating challenges in school and relationships. I approach kids on their level and make an effort to connect with their parents. Listening is such an important part of my job, so I always try to slow down and let the patient/parent guide the visit.
How do you accommodate patients with special needs?
I have patients of all abilities in my practice. I try to adjust my approach to the history and exam based on their needs.
