What is your favorite animated movie or cartoon?
My favorite animated movie is Shrek.
What is your favorite children's book?
My favorite children’s books are Elephant & Piggie.
What was your favorite childhood toy?
I enjoyed reading books as a child.
Who is your greatest inspiration?
My daughter because she is a fighter, she has autism but she is always brave enough to face every challenge with curiosity and enthusiasm.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
I love traveling to different countries, hiking, and volunteering at church.
What inspired you to work in pediatrics?
Since I was a child I have always wanted to work in Pediatrics. Kids are so fun and resilient and have a lot to teach us adults too.
What unique qualities, skills, or services set you apart, and how do you build a positive rapport with patients and their families?
It is a joy communicating with patients and their families and working as a team to best support their needs. Listening to the priorities that bring them in to clinic and finding innovative ways to meet the resource gaps where there are any is important.
How do you accommodate patients with special needs?
Having a child with autism gives me a unique perspective on the approach one has to take with neurodivergent patients. I enjoy being able to connect with patients and families that need that special attention in an integrative and holistic approach.
