My students because they are eager to learn.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
Traveling, running, sewing, scrapbooking, baking.
What inspired you to work in pediatrics?
I love watching children grow and develop
What unique qualities, skills, or services set you apart, and how do you build a positive rapport with patients and their families?
I listen to parents and patients and consider all their concerns, and offer healthcare advice as needed, including alternative options. I help with mental health care, nutrition education, breastfeeding, and refer to specialist as needed. I have learned a lot, not only from my academic courses, but from my 7 children also.
How do you accommodate patients with special needs?
I use a trauma-informed approach to all patients and am patient with children who need extra time to be examined.
