The Little Prince is my favorite childhood book because its simple story taught me meaningful lessons about love, friendship, imagination, and appreciating the things in life that truly matter.
What was your favorite childhood toy?
LEGOs
Who is your greatest inspiration?
My 18-month-old daughter is my greatest inspiration because I had her during residency training, and balancing motherhood with the demands of becoming a physician showed me a strength, determination, and sense of purpose I never knew I had.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
Spending time with family
What inspired you to work in pediatrics?
My passion for pediatrics comes from the opportunity to make a meaningful difference early in a child’s life, while also supporting families through some of their most important and vulnerable moments. I find it especially rewarding to build relationships with children as they grow, promote healthy development, and help give them the best possible foundation for their future.
What unique qualities, skills, or services set you apart, and how do you build a positive rapport with patients and their families?
One of the qualities that sets me apart is my ability to connect with Spanish-speaking patients and families in their preferred language, which helps build trust, improve communication, and make them feel more comfortable and understood. I focus on listening carefully, explaining medical information in a clear and compassionate way, and creating a welcoming environment where families feel comfortable asking questions and participating in their child’s care.
