Dr. Seuss books are highly effective for early childhood development because they combine rhythm, rhyme, and repetition to build foundational reading skills. His playful, nonsensical words keep children engaged while gently introducing important life lessons about acceptance, critical thinking, and imagination.

What inspired you to work in pediatrics?

I chose to work in pediatrics because children possess an unmatched, genuine approach to life that makes medicine deeply rewarding. Every day, I am inspired by how inquisitive and curious they are, always asking questions and viewing the world with a sense of wonder.

What unique qualities, skills, or services set you apart, and how do you build a positive rapport with patients and their families?

What sets me apart is my absolute commitment to active listening; I never dismiss a parent’s intuition or a child's concerns, and I collaborate with families to find the best possible medical solutions. In pediatrics, a positive rapport is built entirely on trust and mutual respect, which starts by giving families the time and space to be fully heard. By validating their experiences rather than rushing through appointments, I ensure that parents feel like true partners in their child’s healthcare journey. This empathetic, solution-oriented approach relieves the anxiety of medical visits and creates a safe, supportive environment where children and families feel valued and understood.

How do you accommodate patients with special needs?

We accommodate patients with special needs by prioritizing their comfort, reducing stress, and tailoring every step of their visit to their unique requirements. First, we manage our scheduling to ensure they do not have to wait for too long to see the doctor, minimizing anxiety from the moment they arrive. Our team works closely with them from check-in to check-out, providing consistent, patient support throughout the appointment. We understand that routine clinical tasks—such as getting vital signs, height, and weight—can be challenging, so we approach these moments with extra time, patience, and gentle reassurance. Finally, we focus heavily on keeping them engaged in the rooms and conversations, using interactive techniques to make the medical environment feel safe, welcoming, and positive.
